An Introduction to Spinning - Monday 8th March 2010, 1.30pm-4pm.
An explanation of the origins of spinning and wool production. Demonstration of primitive techniques. Participants will use a pencil to produce a yarn.

Discover the versatility of spindle spinning – Monday 22nd March 1.30pm – 4pm.
Come and learn the art of spinning with a variety of spindles from different cultures.
Pre-book only. £15 per person materials included.

Using & Maintaining your Spinning Wheel
                                           – Monday 15th & Monday 29th March 7pm – 9pm
Two connected workshops. Dust down that neglected spinning wheel in your loft and learn how to use it!  The second session looks at problem-solving & plying.   [If you don’t yet have your own spinning wheel, it may be possible to borrow one for the workshops: please let us know if you are interested.]
Pre-book only. £50 for the two sessions. Bring your own spinning wheel, wool provided.
